Hello everyone ♥
Today I want to share a quick card with a very yummy strawberry. This stamp is from the Unity Kit of the Month April 2010 set, and it really does make my mouth water!! isn’t it divine!? If you haven’t heard about Unity stamps, then please, for the love of crafting, hop on over to their website and check it out. The June kit is going to be announced tomorrow and I simply cant wait, as they never fail to have a great selection and some fantastic, versatile designs.
Strawberries remind me of the summertime; the sweet and juicy red nectar, stained lips and pips stuck between teeth, reminds me of the days at the beach as a kid. And even now, I’d never refuse a bowl of strawberries and icecream.
Most of all, at the moment, strawberries remind me of Sarah, because last October we went to a local farm to go strawberry picking. And of course this means that this is the perfect card for today’s Miss You Monday post. I hope it reminds her of the fun we had that day. {by the way, you can see a layout I made about this day trip here}
I stamped the image using Archival ink, and then coloured the image using distress inks and a watercolour brush. So simple, yet so sweet! The greeting is from the previous KOTM, the March 2010 set. See how well I get to mix and match stamps from different sets?!
As for me, I’m celebrating my bank holiday Monday by going to a local village fête. I just can’t wait to see what fun I can have there.
Have a great day.
