I’m back, as promised, to share today’s Miss You Monday card. Today is a simple, generic card, perfect for almost any occasion, as it simply says ‘hi’. Sometimes you don’t need to say much more than that!
This card is inspired by the way that in the good ol’ days, when every little boy and girl wanted a paper round as their first job! The papers would come folded with a a little piece of paper wrapped around it to hold it secure.
The card is simply scored twice to create a trifold base, but to add a little bit of interest I cut away the right edge into curves so you can see the coloured insert peeping through! The sleeve of the card is the fun bit, because it can be decorated in anyway you want. I used some Heidi Swapp chipboard flower shapes, some buttons and string, along with a few stickers from my box of tricks, and for a little bit of pizzazz, I stamped a flourish into the inside using a heroarts stamp and distress ink. Above all I love the glittery card from the DCWV glitter stack, which is bright, colourful and summery.
Thanks for stopping by, Leave me a comment here.
Don’t forget that I have a treat for you this week, as every day i will be sharing thank you cards for all those amazing teachers out there! See you then.
