I promised you a video, but unfortunately i am having issues with YouTube. I have decided to stop fighting against machines for now, and try again later. Sorry about the suspenseful delay! But instead, I’m sharing a card I made last week.
Let me tell you a cute story that always makes me smile. ♥
I was lucky to go to a University which was built upon a beautiful lake, and had scenic, green, grassy areas; perfect for picnics and walks. The Uni grounds was full of ducks, swans and of course, squirrels. The squirrels were so used to seeing people go by, that some of them had absolutely no fear! They would come right up to you, and I always loved seeing them share the campus with us students, and always kept an eye out for them on my way to class.
One year my mum and dad came to visit, and brought my nephew who was only about 3 or 4 years old at the time. Whilst walking through the uni grounds, he points suddenly to a tree and exclaims ‘Look at that monkey Auntie Lesley!!‘. To which of course, I replied: ‘oh, I think that might be a squirrel actually’. His reply: “No Silly! It’s in a tree isn’t it, Auntie Lesley, so it must be a monkey!!‘. LOL. Isn’t kid’s logic simply amazing! ♥
And so I still call them monkeys at times. And today, I have a card with a ‘monkey’ on it to share with you all. A cute little birthday card, pieced together using stamps and stickers to create a little scene of loveliness.
Thanks for looking. Leave a comment here.
