Letterpress Christmas Cards

Hey everyone,

Happy Monday!

I am getting into the Christmas swing of things now, how about you!? Although the calendar still says November, so I still feel a teeny weeny bit guilty about the excitement that is building inside! We went to a local town today and they even had their Christmas tree up in the square, and the lights were twinking, they were so pretty! Still… Craig wont let me play Christmas music until 1 December without fail, he even caught me singing Winter Wonderland in the shower this week and gave me the stink eye! HAHA!

I did realise something potentially depressing though!! We will be moving house in early December, so we may not be putting up decorations until we get into the new house! . I’m trying not to think about it too much, at least until we get a definite move in date, at least that way i can come to terms with waiting a few days. If the move isn’t going to happen until the middle of the month then there is NO WAY i am holding off until then! ๐Ÿ™‚

And so today, I have some Christmas cards to share with you. I’ve used some embossing folders with my distress inks to give an almost letterpress look to the embossed backgrounds. The embossing folders give the paper depth, and the inks give a bold feel to the card, which I totally love! Once I had made a few backgrounds I really didn’t need much else to finish the card.

Mister Snowman however is one of my favourite stamps, and it was about time he made it off the shelf as he has been hibernating for many months now. I heat embossed a few stamped impressions, and then coloured in the design using Artquest Pearlescent paints which give a lovely shimmery, wintery effect! Yum!

Have a great Monday everyone!

Cards are gorgeous Lesley – that stamp is so cute!

When do you put the decorations up then? I’m really strict and they aren’t allowed to go up till 12 days before the big day ๐Ÿ˜‰ A superstition my parents passed on to me *g*

Am madly dashing about trying to catch up with the rest of it though ๐Ÿ˜‰
