Its crazy how many different people come and go throughout our lives. Some will make a lasting impression, others will be mere acquaintances. Some will always be remembered, others will be best forgotten.
On Tuesday, our friend Lindsey went back to the States. She and her family have been here for over a year, and although I could probably count the number of times that we met up on my fingers and toes, she is one of those loveable people that you cant not love. So kindhearted, and generous. Super generous. And talented. She took photos of me at 39 weeks pregnant, and also of Piper in her first week, and spent a whole lotta time working the photos to be just perfect. What more can someone give than their time? And with two babies under the age of 2, I know that Lindsey’s time must have been precious.
And so its sad to think that we will not see Lindsey at the next girlies night, or hear her sweet laugh, or the way she says “gotcha” when she understands something that you say, but y’know what… I am thankful for things like facebook. With facebook i will still get to check in, still get to see her boys grow, and still get to see her wonderful photography work. And above all, she won’t be forgotten.
This card, is for Lindsey. We will definitely miss having you over here in the UK.
The butterfly is a Heidi Swapp Sheer, and the stamps are from Hero Arts. Not sure who makes the brad as it had been lurking in my stash for ages. And of course, the ink is Ranger Distress inks (what else?!) 🙂
