Welcome Jack – A Simple Baby Boy Card with a personalised touch!

WELL, HELLLLOOOOOOO! Oh we have had a lovely long spell of family time over the last week. First Mum and Dad were over from Ireland for a visit at Easter time, and then Craig took those three days off work in between the bank holidays – so all in all he has had a run of about 11 days without work. It has been awesome! And, i totally forgot that Monday is May day bank holiday so we get to keep him for another day! woohoo!

So the question on everyones lips…did you watch the Royal Wedding? We caught a few glimpses on the tv, but the main excitement for me was the Street Party that we had organised with fellow neighbours. It was pretty amazing how everyone chips in and works together to create a great sense of community and camaraderie. I’m afraid I don’t have any photos because I made the conscious decision to enjoy the event and basque in the experience, rather than run around with a camera attached to my face. We had an amazing time! But there were plenty of others out there with camera, and now that everyone knows each other, i’m sure we’ll be able to get a copy of some piccys.

But hey, lets share a project! This is a super simple card made for my cousin Hayley & Glenn on the birth of their baby boy Jack. It was made a few weeks ago when he was born, but it just goes to prove that you don’t need to do something complicated to make a cute card!

The papers are so darn cute. I picked them up at the NEC in November, and of course had to buy a pink sheet and a blue sheet – just to cover all bases! The greeting is from a Personal Impressions clear stamp set and the frame is a Heidi Swapp journaling stamp.

It was the inside that i enjoyed making the most – because i mixed and matched loads of stamps. The bear is from Papermania, the circle frame from Scenic Route, and the heart from Gaia. The word ‘welcome’ is from Personal Impressions and the name Jack I stamped using a Studio G alpha set. Over on the other side, the congratulations is also from Papermania and the little hearts are from Hero Arts. Wooooo – stamp happy!

have a great weekend!

Cute card. Love the papers too. Sounds like you had a fab bank holiday. I did watch the Royal wedding while pulling up the flooring and decorating.
