Home Decor : Make Your Own Mini Canvas

Good morning everyone,

Today I want to share an easy peasy project with you using Claudine Hellmuth’s sticky back canvas. I have had this stuff for a few months and every so often I get inspired to play with it. You can stamp onto it, ink it, paint it… and the results are amazing as the canvas as a great texture.

I decided to make a little piece of home decor this time, using this canvas sheet and some Meiflower embellishments. I didn’t have my video camera charged when I was making this, so I grabbed my DSLR and made the video below from still images- but it still should be really easy to follow.

I have used flower sequins from Meiflower to create the heart shape, (stuck down using tacky glue). These little things are so much fun. There are loads of different colours and each pack contains over 500 pieces! They remind me a little of the table confetti you can get at weddings, and could definitely be used for that purpose too, but i’m having fun using them on my projects. Check them out here.

In the middle i’ve attached a metal butterfly charm – doesn’t it look darling! This filigree design also comes in a gold colour, but the silver is definitely my favourite.

Can you believe how easy it is to make your own mini canvas, and the design itself is simple, elegant and really cost effective as the embellishments cost only a few pence.

Can you be more specific about the content of your article? After reading it, I still have some doubts. Hope you can help me.
