Birthday Bear card

Bonjour tout le monde

Isn’t it looking rather autumnal out there!? LOVE IT!

I have a card that I don’t think i’ve shared with you as yet. This was a card I made for Rachel, Piper’s keyworker at her nursery. I heard that it was her birthday, so i wanted to make a little card for her from Piper – after all, i trust this lady with my daughter every day, so she is a pretty big part of Piper’s life.

When making this card, I had just treated myself to the Victoria Gardens 6×6 paper pad from Echo Park. SWWOOOOOOOON! Oh, my – the colours are just delicious! I love the way they give a wonderful vibrant feel to the card, without being OTT.

The bear and the present are rubber stamps which I embossed onto white cardstock. I coloured the present with some pigment markers, but for mister bear i used my distress inks. I love the way this gives a soft even finish. And of course – my enamel accents added that little bit of dimension on his nose, eyes and paws. What a sweet bear!

The greeting is a rub on, but unfortunately it was an anonymous one that was in my stash, so i have no idea who makes it. Looks pretty sweet though if i do say so myself.

Rachel loved her card. Hope you like it too.

Happy Autumn!
