The Lunar Collection – Mama Elephant Stamps & Copics

Hey everyone!
It has been a super busy few weeks in our household and I wanted to share some cards with you guys, because I never got a chance to finish editing the latest HungryHeffyCrafts video. Don’t worry, i’m sure it will be ready this weekend! 🙂

Have you seen the Mama Elephant lunar animal stamp set? Oh, its adorable! It’s not uber new – i think it was released a few months back, but as soon as i saw it, i had to have it! I just love that there are LOADS of cute little animal critters! They are so adorable, and perfect for colouring in. 🙂

I set myself a challenge to create a set of cards using this stamp, and so i stamped one of each critter and grabbed my copic markers!

A fun way to make a collection, or a pack of cards is to focus on a simple repeated design – and so that is what i did here. I used a stitched square die from SSS to cut out a simple panel into the card front, and then built a scene within the frame.

There was also lots of room on the right to add a greeting- and of course, i had to go for some puns! I used the Milo’s ABCs stamp set from Lawn Fawn for this – it’s skinny width was perfect for even the longer greetings! This is one of my favourite alpha stamps. It wasn’t easy coming up with puns for all the animals though- but i did get some help from friends via Facebook! lol

SO get ready for lots of photos, here comes what I am calling ‘The Lunar Collection’.

woo…lots of photos! Which is your favourite? I think the teal puppy is really cute, and the chicken turned out sweet too i think!

To add variety, I mixed in a little ink blending and patter paper, and i even used a copic multi liner to add some tweaks to some stamped images- like the mouth on the last doggy card.

Thanks for stopping by!

Lesley

I wanted the set for all the different animals too but so far I have made a set with “year of the….” and I printed out a little paragraph with the characteristics of the year/animal for the inside.
