One Layer Mermaid Photo Frame Style Card – ft. Lawn Fawn {video}

Yo HO HO, me hearties!

oh, sorry… i kinda got carried away there! You see, in my head when I was making this card, I was envisaging a picture frame hanging on the wall of a seaside tavern, where an auspicious fisherman once was in the right place at the right time, and took a snapshot of the mystical sea maiden on a fair isle!

LOL, sorry, i am getting carried away again! 😛

For today’s card I am Masking, MASKing, MASKING! It is MASK-MANIA over here! I had the idea to combine a bunch of Lawn Fawn stamps to create an ocean scene featuring this darling little mermaid. It features ‘mermaid for you’, ‘Critters of the sea’, ‘loveable legends’, ‘life is good’, ‘Monster Mash’, ‘Beep Boop Birthday’ and ‘Big scripty words’. Gosh! I didn’t realise i had used so many!

I combined a little ink blending (using a brush) with some water colouring to create the main panel, and then used kraft cardstock ran through a woodgrain effect embossing folder to create the frame.

Here’s a video for you al to watch… and you will also get to see me make a WHOOPSIE, and how i simply made it work!

have a great day folks!

    Do you have a supplies list? Where do you get the wood grain embossing folder?

      Hi cherie, I bought the woodgrain embossing folder at a local craft shop – the name on the embossing folder is ‘craft concepts’ i hope you can find it. <3
