Card Making

Bird Banner Card

Here’s me. Playing with ribbon again. Sorry, I just can’t help it!

Last year I made a Big Brother Toolkit for my nephew Josh, and I found one of the little oval toppers with the birdies on it amidst my stash. So I decided to integrate it into a card using some leftover pieces of paper from the We R Memory Keepers scrapbook papers line that I have recently been playing with.

The ribbons are from Meiflower, and my original thought was to use just one kind, but they were all so cute that i couldn’t make up my mind, so i just used a little of them all.

Enjoy.

A Girly Get Well Soon Card

On Saturday we went for a picnic at Frensham Pond. not sure why they call it a pond as it is really big, proabably the size of what we in N Ireland would call a Lake. Weird thing was that this so-called pond had a beach! {what?!} I couldn’t quite believe my eyes when I saw it.

After a lovely lunch al fresco, we took a walk around the pond. It was lovely, except poor craig had to drag the pram through deep sand for a chunk of time, and i dont think that was quite so leisurely. We did get to take some piccys though.

But even though the sun was in the sky on Saturday, it doesn’t mean that everyone is feeling happy-go-lucky. In fact, last week my neighbour was saying how miserable she felt because of a nasty cold – and so this inspired me to make a Get Well Soon card – one with a feminine feel.

I hope you are all fighting fit and not in need of one of these cards!

Happy Sunday everyone.

After a post-crafting tidy up a little while back i gathered up all the little pieces of scraps that were lying on my work table. I rarely throw these out. I have a little tub which holds all my scraps which are smaller than A5 size, and i usually work from this tub every now and again. I find it fantastic when I need just a little pop of colour, and usually theres a good selection in there.

But in truth, my little tub is overflowing, so I decided to try to use these scraps rather than stashing them, and because I knew that I would come up with something, I turned on my video recorder so I could share my process with you.

This video takes you through the making of a card made from these little scraps, and I am really pleased with how the card turned out. Mostly because i know these scraps have had a narrow escape from the recycle bin! Lol.

Thanks for watching.
