On Sunday I decided to take Piper out of the house whilst Craig was watching the Formula 1 on TV so we went to a local Country Market because they had a car boot sale. BUT, by the time we got there, everyone had packed up and was leaving. However I spotted a sign that said that they also have a car boot sale on Wednesdays.
For no reason at all, I decided that P and I would go today. Just because. {i am so glad i did}
LOOK!
I’ve been drooling over typewriters for a little while, but online they are quite expensive. This little beauty… four pounds! Woooohooo! FOUR POUNDS! You would pay that for a cuppa coffee and a bikky. It came complete with a manual and everything. I cant wait to use it for journaling on my layouts.
my heart is happy! ♥
I also thought i would share these two cards with you. I dont think i’ve shared them yet, but honestly cant remember. Sweet and simple.
Two of my work colleagues were blessed with a new arrival in their family a few weeks ago, and although I haven’t been chatting to Dan & Aimee as much as I normally would have done whenever I was working full time, I still keep in touch through the wonders of Facebook. And so I was thrilled to hear that their second child had arrived safe and well (all be it with a bit of reluctancy from what I hear)
To celebrate and congratulate, of course we needed a card. And of course it had to be pink!!
I mentioned last week that I was making Piper a little hat. It turned out so darn cute that I thought I would make one for Evie as well. This is a piccy of Piper’s. But Evies is the same but itty-bitty. (awww)
And because their first adorable girl has just became a big sister, this needed celebrating too. For Holly I made this little door plaque/ wall hanging. I sure hope those flowers survive the post.
Today i’ve got a video for you, walking you through a little inking fun. I like to use white embossing powder to emboss a stamped image and then colour over it, as the white always pops out so vividly. I picked up this really yummy Penny Black stamp a little while ago and it is perfect for this technique.
I had fun making the video, I hope you enjoy watching it.
As for us, we are going to two summer fayres today. They promise me bouncy castles, BBQs, craft stalls, beer tents and car boot sales. I’ll let you take one guess at which one of those interests me the most! (and one guess to which interests Craig the most! ) LOL.
