Happy Manday Monday everyone.
Today’s masculine card is a Granda birthday card because it was my daddy’s birthday last week. It was so good to be home to give him lots of birthday hugs. Even Piper delighted in giving lots of snuggles to Granda.
This was a card made of mostly scraps, but i love the finished card. The spotty paper co-ordinated well with kraft so i made this the main basis of the card and went from there.

I pulled out my star cookie cutter dies from Quickutz and ran some brown card through my cuttlebug to create a frame then popped a felt alpha in the middle : g for Granda of course! I also used a Quickutz die to cut out a little panel and then used my white gel pen to write text in the middle.
Well i couldn’t go too long without a button, but the tone of the red matched the spotty cardstock and worked well with the design, and instead of using twine i used some linen thread which is a bit coarser and hence, more masculine i think.
Happy Birthday Dad.
There a layout coming this week, so come back soon….

Phew! Just back from a trip to Northern ireland to see the family. Exhausting, but also wonderful. I miss them, but they sure do tire me out when we go back for flying visits.
Piper was an angel on the flight. She looked quite the thing sitting up on her seat, looking out the window at all the clouds.

I contemplated having a {slightly} late MANday Monday, but i think i’ll just keep the card I made for dads birthday until next week. Instead I want to introduce you to Mister Foxy

It was late, but I wasn’t tired, so I set up the iPad with a cheesy movie on LoveFilm (twilight of course) and started pulling out remnants of denim, cutting and stitching. I had no idea what the final piece would be, but it kinda just turned out like this. Isn’t he adorable!
I stuffed him with some stuffing that used to be inside a pillow and then i also filled his bum with rice so he has a bit of weight. He sits upright really well and can even hold the door open.
In the morning I showed him to Piper and she pointed at him and said ‘cat’. LOL. well, almost sweetie, almost a cat. 🙂
Maybe i’ll give him some button eyes, or pick up some teddy bear eyes at the haberdashery department, but until then little french knots will have to do.
Have a good day everyone says Mister Foxy

You may remember this time last year I was significantly rounder (with a big, beautiful, belly full o’ baby), and one of my dear friends, Lindsey, took some gorgeous photos of me and my bump. I was blown away by the finished photos, her work is amazing! I can’t tell you how happy I am that I have these photos to remind me of my pregnancy.
I am so excited to share something exciting that Lindsey is doing – a New Years Giveaway! And guess who is taking part! Yip, you guessed it, ME!
As i am not a typical vendor I am a little different from the other wonderfully crafty people that are taking part, but I decided to give away a homemade pencil case, sewn with denim and funky pink fabric. It could also be used to hold make up brushes and a million other things too i guess.

So hop on over to Lindsey’s site CameraLinds for more details on how you can win one of the goodies in the giveaway. You should also take a look through her site to look at all the beautiful photos she has taken. You may even see some faces you recognise!
