Hello everyone,
I hope you are having a great weekend!
It has been a super busy week this week, especially as we are so close to Princess Pi’s big birthday! I have been on planning-overdrive – between organising treats for Pi to bring to school on Wednesday (her actual birthday), making plans for a family afternoon tea/ picnic after school and of course, getting ready for the party of the year this coming Sunday! Last night i made about 50 cake pops and a batch of Mars bar krispies (although i have NO IDEA how to make sure they don’t get gobbled up before next weekend!)

Due to the busy, busy week, i am sharing a card that i actually made back in january. It’s a valentines card, so yeahhh, its a little out of season, but the good news is that as always it showcases a technique that could be used for any occasion.

This card started life as a practice piece for my brush lettering! Did i tell you guys that i have kinda fallen in love with watercolours and especially the look of brush lettering! s-i-g-h! love it! So i have been participating in a challenge over on Instagram… here is a peek at some of my work so far. Remember though… just starting out!

I will let you know now that the video is pretty sped up, as there was a whole lotta stamping for this card, but i love how it turned out. These awesome envelope stamps came from this set from SimonSaysStamp

Enjoy the video, and wish me luck with the rest of the party planning! EEEEK!

Ciao!

Unicorn On A Cloud {video}

Hey everyone,
and Happy Mothers’ Day to all the Mummsies out there. I was lucky enough to get spoilt rotten with a treasure hunt for gifts, including a super cute Squirrel stamp set from Sugar Pea Designs, “because Mummy loves Squirrels and she loves autumn”. 🙂 I am sure i will have a squirrely project to share with you guys before too long!

But for today, another card made using the Unicorns and Rainbows stamp set from Mama Elephant. I am still not over the cuteness of this stamp set. EEEEK! and i have realised that i really do * need * the coordinating dies! teehee.

One of the greetings in the set was the main inspiration for this design, and i wanted to create an ethereal look by using a lot of white in the design. I think it turned out super cute!

Of course i used some of my fave supplies from Mama Elephant and Lawn Fawn, as well as my distress inks. 🙂

I also got to try out the Stick-It double sided adhesive that arrived in the post last week – i really don’t know what took me so long to get this amazing stuff! it really makes life easy!

In other news, i got an email to say that my MISTI has shipped…. let the official postman stalking commence! YAY!

Enjoy the video, and please subscribe to the channel and / or give me a big thumbs up- that really makes my day! Ciao!

Here’s the video… enjoy!

Hello everyone,

Today’s card features some lawn fawn stamps and dies, along with some alpha stamps from Paperchase, but i think the star of the show award goes to the sparkly pearlescent watercolours!

To create these beautiful sparkly coloured lines under the cloud, i used the Stargazers palate from ArtQuest. I haven’t used them in a while, and the pearly sheen shows up much better on dark coloured card stock, but it still give a beautiful sparkle on the white background.
trust me, it looks much more intense in real life, but you can sort of see the effect in this photo.

Originally this was made as a valentine’s card, but really it could be used for a general encouragement card, or a simple ‘hello’ card either. I just loved how it turned out. But then again, that is no surprise because i looooovvvee bright colours! YAY!

Just a little note about the video. Normally i like to leave in the original background noises because i know some ASMR-lovin’ listeners will appreciate the sound effects of cutting paper and all the other good crafty noises, but unfortunately there was a helicopter flying around when i made the card. so my original clips had to be muted for this video, sorry guys. More crafty noises on my next video i am sure.

🙂

enjoy the video, and please subscribe if you want to make sure you catch my videos when they become available. Have a great Sunday!
