Home Mini Book – Number 36

Hey everyone, and thanks for coming back to see the last page of my Home Mini Book. If you have followed this series of posts, you will know that we have taken a journey through my life. We have seen a page for every single location which I have called my home, right the way from my childhood home where I learned to walk and talk over 25 years ago, to the present day, where I spend my daily life with my hubby Craig and kitty cat Miya.

This page is different from all the rest. After all, when I sat down to design and make every other page, I was looking back and revisiting the memories which stuck out in my mind as I remembered each of these locations. But it’s definitely more difficult to ‘remember’ the present, or indeed the future. We’ve only been in this house for a short time, and who knows what adventures are yet to come?

Did you notice that this is the first page where I have actually made the roof a different colour to the rest of the page? This is because I think this really makes it look more like a house. Most of the other pages were about flats or apartments, but there is something about a house that seems more permanent, and more ‘grown up’. I am edging closer to ticking off the items on the wish list, or ‘to do list’ of my life, and it feels great to be in a place in your life where you feel happy.

Who knows how many more homes I will live in throughout the rest of my life. All I know is that in each and every place, there will be good times and bad times, joyful moments and painful moments, but at the end of the day, life is too short to waste, and every moment you experience is a potentially great memory to hold dear in the future. Life your life without regrets, and remember the moments that counted.

Journaling reads
A house – finally a house, with a garden, a real fireplace, a dishwasher, a craft room and a cat that goes potty in the toilet! It’s not our own house… but it’ll do for now!
