Hello Everyone! Happy New Year! 2016 is here and i have a feeling it is going to be a good one!

Sorry to say that my crafty videos have been a bit slow of late, but my broken left elbow is healing nicely, and my right arm (which has bone edema) is still giving me some hassle,so i have been on a craft hiatus for a little while so i don’t prolong the healing process.

BUT, i managed to dig out a video that I hadn’t shared last year, and it definitely could be used as a valentines card, so in fact it is perfect timing.

I have used washi tape to mask off stripes on a card front, and then had some fun with gelatos – here is the video!

I wanted to also say a huge thank you to everyone who has visited the blog, and for those over on YouTube and Instagram- thank you for all the love throughout 2015, and i am looking forward to sharing more crafty projects with you this year too!

Enjoy the video and see you soon,
Lesley

Everyone likes interactive cards, right? Well, this one was double the fun because not only is it a shaker card, but it also has a built in paper circuit with a LED light!

OMG I LOVE IT SO!

Our friend Jennifer (affectionately known as my Craft-Mule due to the fact that her visits to the UK usually include a suitcase full of US crafty products 🙂 heehee) brought me a special treat when she was last over to visit. A pack of LED lights from Chibitronics, along with some batteries and conductive tape! I had never heard of this company before, but my secondary school physics education quickly returned, and it wasn’t long before the whole family were playing with paper and LEDs.

There are blue, yellow and red lights in the set- and immediately i wanted to do a snowy scene with a blue light, a Christmas tree with a yellow star, and a Rudolph with a red nose. So far, i have only managed to do this card.

Here is the video as I walk you through how i have made the card – of course i had to use some Lawn Fawn stamps- they are my mostest, most favourite! I was definitely making it up as a went along, so in hindsight i know that there would be easier ways to reach the final goal, but it all worked out in the end anyway.

Just a little note, there are templates and lots of ideas over on the Chibitronics website- you should check it out if you are interested in playing with some paper circuits of your own.

Hi there,

I always loved this crayon stamp set, and i finally got my hands on it! It was a great stamp for practising my copic colouring too. The only niggle was that the message had the American spelling of COLOR. But, as always, i made it work.

In this video tutorial, not only do a make this sweet card (my daughter and i call it the Rainbow Road card, because it looks like Mario’s rainbow road going through the middle), but i also show you how i adapted the stamp so the message reads You COLOUR My World – the spelling which matches this side of the world! 🙂

Enjoy the video, and please give a thumbs up if you like it.

In other news, my arms are recovering. Finally. I have more physio tomorrow, but my left arm (broken elbow) is healing nicely and i can almost straighten it the whole way. My right arm (bone edema, tennis elbow & tendonitis) is recovering slower, but i managed to get a little bit of light crafting done yesterday without too much pain. It was definitely much required – i have had to stay out of the craft room for 4 weeks, and it makes me sad to not have my craft therapy. Fingers crossed for a speedy and full recovery!

I hope you have a colourful day full of rainbow roads!
